“To plant a garden is to believe in tomorrow.” –Audrey Hepburn
Spring weather in Northern Colorado is so unpredictable! I hope your plants and trees survived the snow and cold! On average, the last frost date in Northern Colorado is between May 4-May 11. (We could still get another frost, so beware of that!) For many of us, it is a tradition to plant flowers on Mother’s Day, which is this Sunday.

Planting a seed is an exercise in faith and gardeners are some of the most hopeful people I know. Every year, I hope my garden produces more fresh veggies than we can eat (especially tomatoes!). I hope my flower beds are colorful and feed the butterflies and the bees. I hope I can stay ahead of the weeds! Mostly, I believe in tomorrow and I hope it will be a good day!
I have spots in my flower bed for annual plants, and I have a vegetable garden. I started some seeds inside a few weeks ago; I’ll sow some directly in the soil; and I’ll get some starter plants from the nursery, too. For my potted flowers, I get plants from the nursery. I love watching the seeds sprout and the seedlings grow, but I don’t always have time to tend to as many plants as I want to grow.
Does your yard and garden reflect your hope and belief in tomorrow? If not, and you need some help figuring out the landscape, please call (970-988-3808) or email me for landscape design assistance. I offer both hourly consultations and full-scale design service.
